About Al

Al Peschke grew up in Indiana. In June 1968, the day after graduating from high school, Al enlisted in the Navy. The Navy then provided a way for Al to attend college, graduating from Indiana State University in 1978. After graduation Al returned to the Navy as a commissioned officer, serving a total of 25 years.

During Al’s time in the Navy he bought his first farm in 1972. In 1989, while stationed in Virginia, Al bought his tree farm in Wakefield, where he currently resides today.

Al raised his daughter, Virginia, as a single father and is proud she chose to join the Army, where she now serves on active duty as a First Lieutenant.

Al, is an Eagle Scout and has remained active with the Boy Scouts of America. He currently serves as Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 471.

Al, is very active in his community, he serves on the Southside Virginia Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America and formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Forestry Association.
